Nokia 5700 – Now Twist your Music!

When we talk of cell phones now, we take it for granted that the device would be able to do the most common formats. And this has happened, because a handy music player is really a welcome break in our hectic lifestyle. Sony Ericsson's Walkman Series may be the first to hit the majority, when they look for musically talented handsets, but Nokia too has carved a niche with its 'N' series. But then again not every one need a “multimedia computer”, so Nokia now comes with its novel Xpress series, that has been specially designed to woo the music lovers. And one super star in the genre is the Nokia 5700. Undoubtedly the phone thrives on its musical talent, but its design is also worth a mention.

Nokia 5700 comes with a cutting edge design. No, not in terms of its slim body (it maintains just a right balance between size and weight), but due to its twist. And the twist that is being referred here, is its 270-degree twist motion on the bottom half of the device where the numeric keypad is. A 90 degrees twist (towards the users or away) will activate the camera, while a 180-degree turn will activate the music player and, along with it, dedicated external multimedia keys for playback, pause, fast forward and rewind. And for ease of operation, the key comes with a good size and tactile feedback. This design or stylish mechanism has really won a lot of adulation globally, as the users does not have to fish in the Menu, to activate the camera or music player.

However, the Nokia 5700 does not come without flaw. For example, in the camera mode, the users need to use a joystick to navigate the shooting options. And since the keypad forms a right angle with the top half of the phone, it can get rather cramped when reaching for the joystick. One more rectification that would make Nokia 5700 a better handset, is the Menu and cancel keys. These keys are on the rubberised edge of the phone flanking the 2.2-inch QVGA LCD, and they don't light up. This makes typing really difficult specially in the dark.

Coming back to beats and ecstasy, the Nokia 5700 supports MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+ and WMA formats. It also comes with the Music Manager software in the bundled CD, and many editing & customizing options. For more information of Nokia Mobile Phones Please visit our site.
